With this machine, the light pulses are directed at the
spider and varicose veins as well as vascular birth marks.
The tissue targeted is the hemoglobin in the blood. A highly
advanced computer regulates the light pulse to a specific
wavelength range, which in turn heats the visible, targeted
blood vessel(s).
Thereby damaging or otherwise destroying the targeted lesion
while sparing the surrounding healthy or normal tissue.
The penetration depth and degree of heat is highly controlled
so that most complications contributed to these specific
factors are not an issue with Pulsed Light Therapy.
The laser is safe and effective because of its unique ability
to selectively treat the blood vessels of a vascular lesion
without adversely affecting the surrounding tissue. Thus,
it will eliminate many lesions while leaving the surrounding
skin intact. In fact, the laser is so safe that it is recommended
for the treatment of infants as young as a few weeks old.
How does the Pulse Dye Vascular Laser work? the Pulse
Dye Vascular Laser produces an intense but gentle burst
of light that selectively destroys the blood vessels of
your spider veins, and some other skin conditions or lesions,
without damaging the surrounding tissue.
After laser treatment, the skin overlying the treated area
remains intact and healing occurs with new collagen formation
in the deep layer of the skin. The blood vessels clot due
to the effect of the laser light energy. They gradually
diminish in visibility over several months.
